Poem From The Valley

Alone in the valley
Gently drifting leaves rain down
From unseen heights
Illuminated in soft sunlight
Glittering as they spin
Carelessly meandering back
To the earth from which they arose

Trickling brook sings
Soft songs of forgotten memories
Awaken by the creek side
Where the gentle creatures come to drink

Wind howling
Through the trees far above
It's another world up there
Reminding me that I must soon enough return

Gentle peaceful valley
Though the tempest storm be brewing
Let us enjoy ourselves until its arrival
For it can never spoil this moment of perfect solitude
